On modernization and tradition pull in different directions and how RSS sees these impulses, General Secretary of RSS Dattatreya Hosabale says “while there may be occasional tensions, both modernization and cultural values can exist together. Adaptation would be required. This is symbolized by the Banyan tree, with strong and deep roots every season it also grows new roots and fruits. Japan, China, India have largely modernized without disconnecting with the cultural roots”.
RSS believes that continuous and comprehensive dialogue with all these groups will definitely help in clearing the misconceptions, misgivings, or if there are any fears, that will definitely be clarified. So, RSS is engaged in such dialogues with the generally called as minorities and their leadership.
